Ride Level Rating: LEVEL 2 (45-60 km 18 km/hr average speed)
Riding Surface: Mostly paved trails with some gravel paths; occasional roads with no bike lane to join trails and paths, one large hill near the Brock Monument.
Description: This extended trip provides the opportunity to spend three days riding in the Niagara area and two evenings to enjoy the cultural and culinary delights of Niagara-on-the-Lake/ Niagara Falls.
- Day 1: We will start our adventure with a ride on the Niagara Parkway between Niagara Falls and Fort Erie. Plan for a group dinner (self-pay) and an evening tour of the Niagara Power Station (included).
- Day 2: We will explore The Welland Canal between Port Colbourne and Welland.
- Day 3: We will start in Niagara-on-the Lake and ride along the Niagara parkway towards Niagara Falls. Option after the ride to have a late lunch at the Niagara Culinary School (self-pay). Note that routes and start times may change depending on construction or weather.
Accommodation: 2 nights at the Niagara College Residence Niagara-on-the-Lake. Double occupancy suites only: 2 separate bedrooms with shared kitchenette and bathroom.
