Three Days of Exploring Ontario’s Railway History, Ports and Dairies by Bike

Ride Level Rating: LEVEL 2 (45-60 km, 18 km/hr average speed)

Riding Surface:  Stone dust trails; paved road with bike lane; short stints on quiet paved and gravel roads with no bike lane to join trails and paths, some rolling hills.

Description:  

Enjoy three days of riding in and around Railway City aka St. Thomas, Ontario.  We will start our adventure on Day 1 with a rail trail ride near Tillsonburg.  Day 2: we will explore St. Thomas including the Elevated Park then ride to Port Stanley via the Whistle Stop Trail (designated bike lane on a paved road). Day 3:  We will start in Aylmer and cycle to Port Bruce along the High Wheel Way (designated bike lane on a paved road) and through the Springwater Conservation Area (gravel trail). Plan for stops at the Elgin County Rail Museum, Shaw’s Famous Dairy Bar and Mistyglen Creamery!
