Trip Safety Requirements PFDs must be worn at all times while in your kayak;
A sprayskirt is required unless otherwise specified as a rec boat paddle;
Transport Canada requirements for equipment is also a HOC trip requirement: 15m of buoyant heaving tow line, sound signal device, bailing device, watertight light for ½ hour before sunset or ½ hour after dawn;
Wet exit practice (formally called wet exit lesson) within the last 12 months in the current kayak that you are using for a trip;
Kayak with sealed fore and aft bulkhead compartments unless specified as a rec boat paddle;
A minimum of one spare paddle per 2 participants

Trip Costs Particiapants pay for parking at the George Lake Campsite, Killarney Provincial Park;
There is no cost for camping as it is crown land;
We are not asking for a deposit, however, we ask that you please sign up with the full intention that you are going
Trip Cancellation Policy Payment in full. No refund unless spot is filled.
Trip Details This trip is open to all paddlers who are comfortable with the trip rating, 1st time or 100th time;
Crown Land Camping;
We will base camp on Silver Island or nearby island;
From our base camp we will do various day paddles;
Participants must have own camping gear;
Participants must be self reliant for all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner;
There are no thunderboxes
