Saturday November 16. El Camino Magnifico, A Bruce Trail End-to-End: Hike # 8

General Location:  Dundas Valley, one of the jewels of the Iroquoia section. 

Start Time:  Meet at 9:00 but aim for 8:45 a.m.

Meeting Place:  Parking lot at the east end of Patterson Rd. where it dead ends on the west side of Hwy. 6. From here we'll car pool to Arteban Rd. in Ancaster and walk back. Once you register, directional details will be e-mailed to you in a document called El Camino Chronicles, Issue # 8  

Type of Hike, Duration, Length and Pace:  A 6 hr., 19.7 km linear hike at 3 – 4 km per hr. 

Terrain:  Varies from hard-pack, smooth surface to rough and rocky with several hills

Overview: The views are of Dundas Valley itself and Dundas the town. 

Requirements:  Participants must be HOC members and must register online for each hike of the series. Wear hiking boots and clothing appropriate for the weather and bring snack, lunch, and plenty of water.

Voluntary Social Gathering:  Meet at a nearby eatery to celebrate with drink, food, and fine conversation.
