Meeting Time: 9:00 a.m.

End: 12:00 noon

Location: Christie Conservation Area, West Flamborough

Meeting Place: Parking lot in plaza at the corner of Hwy. 8 and Kirby Avenue just west of Bullock's Corners. Drive west through Dundas on King St, then up the Dundas Hill to Bullocks Corners, then turn left to stay on Hwy. 8, then up the hill to Kirby Ave., the first street on your right. Turn right on Kirby and immediately right again to park in the space between the two rows of buildings that comprise the plaza. If you need more specific directions, e-mail me at the address below. but not later than the day before the hike.

Pace: Medium, 3 - 4 km per hour.with occasional pauses for rest, refreshment, and relief.

Terrain: Easy, hard-pack clay and sometimes lawn.

Hike Description: This loop hike is a make-up for the one in April that had to be cancelled due to rain. We'll be navigating a maze of trails through Christie Conservation Area.on both sides of Christie Lake, but what we may find especially interesting is the undeveloped western end of the grounds, the part that few of the public get to.

Requirements: The group will be limited to the first 20 hikers to register online. Wear hiking boots or running shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. Bring water and a snack.

Post-Hike Social: An optional pub lunch and/or liquid refreshment will follow.
