Paddling French River

September 16-20, 2021

river of national historic significance the French River is the first designated Canadian Heritage River; Paddle the route of Indigenous people, French Explorers, fur traders and Voyageurs. We will be staying within the French River Provincial Park throughout the trip, making our way to the French River Delta. Weather dependant, will make our way over to the Bustard Islands to paddle throughout the cluster of islands.

* Trip Leaders have the right to refuse anyone who they think does not have the proper skill level or equipment required for their trip.

Level: Level 1 required
*We ask that you have the proper kayak, safety equipment, training, skill level required for the various trips and courses.

Location: Meet at Hartley Marina 

  • Arrive: Thursday , paddle to first campsite in Provincial Park

  • Paddle Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday back to our cars

  • Provide own Kayak/PDF/Whistle/Paddle/Tow Rope

  • Provide own tent, own meals, own cooking gear ( Covid 19 rules) 

  • Responsible for own lunch , snacks, water     

  • HOC Group pre-meeting prior to trip will take place 

Cost includes:  Guide, Provincial Park Camp Pass, Car Parking 


Cost : $415.49 via credit card

Spots: 6 paddlers max + 2 Trip Leaders (AM&SN). A wait list will be started if need be.

Registration opens March 5, 2021 

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your trip and expect a full refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee, up until July 16, 2021.  After that date, you will be responsible for any costs that the Club incurs on your behalf. Refunds will be made via credit card.
