BUS DEPARTURE
Embark 8:15AM. Bus will leave promptly at 8:30 AM
SPECIFIC MEETING PLACE OR PARKING LOCATION
GUELPH LINE CARPOOL PARKING.
HIKES
Three levels of hikes of different distance and duration are offered:
Long hike: 15 km - 4 ½ hr, fast pace
Medium hike: 11 km - 3 hr, moderate pace
Short: 7 km - 2 hr, leisure pace
PACE:
Leisurely / Moderate / Fast
Leisurely to fast but generally about 3 and 4 km/hr.
Return Time from Mono to Burlington
Bus will depart at 4:30 pm at the latest. Maybe earlier based on completion of hikes.
TERRAIN:
Easy / Moderate / Challenging
Moderate to challenging based on hike selection
TYPE OF HIKE:
i.e. loop or out and back
All three hikes are LOOPS
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Point of interests
Leave Burlington at 8:30AM from Guelph Line Carpool Parking. Arrive at Mono Community Centre approx. 9:45AM am.
Enjoy the scenic and varied trails of Mono Cliffs Park and the Bruce Trail.
Bus will be available throughout the day at parking lot of Mono Cliffs Community Centre.
The club is renting a room for our comfort which includes washrooms, change rooms, fridge, etc. This room will be available to you at any time during the day of the hike.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Yes. A Must. Register as the trip opens for registration in the HOC website.
CANCELLATION
Payment in full. No refund unless spot is filled from the waitlist.
All cancellations must be done through the club manager at info@haltonoutdoorclub.ca NOT the trip leader.
The club may cancel due to bad weather that may impact the safety of participants or due to low attendance.

WHAT TO BRING
SOCIAL
Mono Cliffs Inn may be available for snacks and drinks if you wish to do so. Other social would be in the park at the Mono Community Centre, where the bus will be parked.
GUIDING NOTES:
HIKE PACE - Leisure: 3 km/hr or less. Moderate: 3-4 km/hr or Fast: 4-5km/hr. All paces are average and depending on the terrain.
TERRAIN - Easy: mostly flat and usually good footing (i.e. rail trails, Confederation Park, Bay Front Park), Moderate: some hills and/or poor footing (Bruce Trail, Dundas Valley, etc.) and Challenging: steep hills and strenuous footing (Bruce Trail, some trails in Short Hills, Dundas Valley and Red Hill Valley). Please note variations can be expected with weather conditions.
