GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Point of interests

This begins with a walk along the Grindstone Creek leading to a marsh and the boardwalk in Hendrie Valley. A great hike for bird watching. Many birds will settle on an outstretched hand.  A lovely hike in any season, winter provides an excellent opportunity to view the marshes without the coverage of foliage.

The ET&T series offers 24 hikes, every Thursday from January 5th to June 15th 2023.  These hikes follow local trails that a group of HOC members compiled into a guide book titled “Escarpment Trails and Treks: Two-Hour Hikes in Halton, Hamilton and Niagara”. These hikes  are very special and ideal for getting to know local trails in only 2-3 hours and all in close proximity to your home in Halton, Hamilton and Niagara Region, Southern Ontario. All level of hikers are welcome!
