Meet at the Short Hills Parking Lot C. Drive to the very end of Wiley Rd (2801 Wiley Rd, ).

Moderate. Some easy section with some challenging and rocky steep hills, typical in the Bruce Trail.
TYPE OF HIKE:
Combination loop and there and back.
Point of interests
We want to take these trails before we get ice and snow. Hike along forested areas, bridges and Bruce Trail. The trail winds around the Twelve Mile Creek, Terrace Creek falls and follows an old farm road, and joins the Swayze Falls Trail. Be prepared for some hills.
Yes. A Must. Leaders appreciate early registration and at least 24 hours before the event.
• If your plans change, please self-cancel as soon as possible so that other HOC members may take your spot.
• The club may cancel due to bad weather that may impact the safety of participants or due to low attendance.
Two weeks prior to the hike. Up to 12 hikers are welcome to participate.
WHAT TO BRING
• Wear supportive hiking boots with good tread. Hiking poles will be helpful.
• Bring your ices just in case!
• Dress in layers according to weather
• Carry snacks and lots of water
IMPORTANT COVID REMINDERS
The club’s Covid-19 Safety Guidelines will be observed.
HIKE PACE - Leisure: 3 km/hr or less. Moderate: 3-4 km/hr or Fast: 4-5km/hr. All paces are average and depending on the terrain.
TERRAIN - Easy: mostly flat and usually good footing (i.e. rail trails, Confederation Park, Bay Front Park), Moderate: some hills and/or poor footing (Bruce Trail, Dundas Valley, etc.) and Challenging: steep hills and strenuous footing (Bruce Trail, some trails in Short Hills, Dundas Valley and Red Hill Valley). Please note variations can be expected with weather conditions.
