Hiking Dundas Valley 7 km

Sunday July 4th 

Start Time: Meet at 9:15 for 9:30 a.m. start.  Finish: 11:30 - 12:00

Meeting Location: Dundas Valley Conservation Authority main entrance on Hwy 99. Walk from the parking lot to the Trail Centre (old railway station) where the group will meet. 

Cost: $11.00 per vehicle, paid at front gate upon entry (credit card accepted), unless you have an annual pass.

Distance: 7 km 

Pace: Slow to moderate 3 – 3.5 kms per hour 

Terrain: Rolling terrain with some short and long hills. Trails are relatively wide and smooth with generally good footing. There may be some tricky footing in muddy areas depending on weather conditions.

Description:  A combination of loops. The hike travels through beautiful hardwood forest. Creeks, valleys, ridges and escarpment outcrops will add to the scenery. 

Notes: Wear supportive hiking boots with a good tread. Hiking poles will be useful. According to the weather forecast, bring waterproof raingear and dress in layers. Carry water, snacks, hand sanitizer and a mask.  

Note: The club’s Covid-19 Safety Guidelines will be observed.
