Thursday December 3 - Escarpment Recreational Rail Trail #2 

Location: Hamilton

Start Time: Meet at 9:15 for a 9:30 start. Planned to finish between 12:00 and 12:30 pm. 

Meeting Location: Meet at the top of Margate Stairs. Park along Mountain Brow Blvd. and Margate Ave., East Mountain in Hamilton  

Distance: 10 km approx. 

Pace: Moderate, 3.5 - 4 km/hr

Terrain: Paved trail, some ups and downs. Stairs. Footing is generally good.

Description: We will be hiking out and back on the Escarpment Recreational Rail Trail including sections of the Bruce Trail or Scenic Mountain Blvd on top of the Escarpment. Many views of the city. This hike will include stairs descending and climbing such as Margate, Kenilworth and Uli stairs.

Bring: water, snacks, raingear, hiking boots, hiking poles and personal first aid kit. 

Note: The club’s Covid-19 Safety Guidelines will be observed.
