Hiking Loops & Lattes - Christie and Crooks Hollow

Saturday December 7.  Loops & Lattes, # 5 and #6 Christie and Crooks Hollow.

Pace: Moderate (3-4 Km/hr), 

Terrain: Easy

Hike Description: This is a combination of 2 loop hikes. Parking at the 8 km mark or interception of the 2 loops. It is a nice hike in late fall when there is a chance to get snow or ice on the ground. Remember to bring your hiking poles and icers, just in case. Start in Crook’s Hollow Conservation area, following around the Christie Lake to continue to Webster’s Falls. The second part is there and back (5km total). Highlights are Crook’s Hollow, historical sites, reservoir, towering pine forest and Webster’s Fall. Detour Cafe in Dundas. 

Parking and Driving Directions: Park in the Crook Hollow’s Conservation Area parking lot. From Brock Rd turn west onto Old Brock Rd. and then continue onto Crook’s Hollow Rd. There is an entrance fee to the park of  2 $.
