2024 Spring Information Fair
Saturday November 23. El Camino Magnifico, A Bruce Trail End-to-End: Hike 9
General Location: The escarpment lands of Waterdown and Burlington. We're still in the Iroquoia section.
Start Time: The meeting time is 9:00 but aim for 8:45 a.m.
Meeting Place: The roadside parking area on the west side of Guelph Line just north of Hwy. 5. We'll car pool to Hwy. 6 and hike back. Once you register, you'll be sent directional details in an e-mail called El Camino Chronicles, Issue 9
Type of Hike, Length, Duration and Pace: A 17.5 km , 4+ hr. linear hike at 3-4 km per hr.
Terrain: Demanding, with a lot of ups and down and some tricky footing.
Overview: Most of this hike we'll be in forested lands of Waterdown and Burlington.
Requirements: Participants must be HOC members and must register for each hike of the series. Wear hiking boots and clothing suitable for the weather and bring snack, lunch, and plenty of water.
Voluntary Social Gathering: Gather at a nearby eatery to celebrate the end of our first term of hiking on the Bruce Trail with drink, food, and fine conversation.
