Hiking Bruce Trail End-to-End - El Camino Magnifico #4

Saturday October 5. EL Camino Magnifico, Bruce Trail End-to-End: Hike 4 

General Location: This hike will take us from Jordan to the Beamsville Bench, both in the Niagara section. 

Start Time: Start at 9:00 a.m., but aim for 8:45 a.m. 

Meeting Place: Meet in the parking lot of Mountainview Conservation Area on Mountainview Rd. From here we'll shuttle to Jordan to start the hike. Once you have registered, the leader will send you more specific directions in a document called El Camino Chronicles, Issue # 4.

Type of Hike, Length, Pace, and Duration: A 4+ hr.,  16.9 km linear hike at 3-4 km per hr. with pauses for rest, refreshment, and relief. 

Terrain: Several ups and downs and sometimes a rocky trail surface with uncertain footing but with a short but easy stretch on road at the end. 

Overview: These will be the best views of wine country you get. 

Requirements: Participants must be HOC members and register for each hike in the series online. Wear hiking boots and clothing suitable for the weather. Bring a snack, lunch, and lots of water. 

Voluntary Social: Meet, if you wish, at a nearby eatery to celebrate with food, drink, and fine conversation.
