2024 Spring Information Fair
Sunday July 28. Los Caminos Misteriosos, Hike #8 (Two in One)
Meeting Time: 9:00 a.m. End: 12:00 noon
Location: Crawford Lake / Rattlesnake Point
Meeting Place: The parking lot to the left just inside the toll gate to Crawford Lake Conservation Area. To get there, take Guelph Line north to Conservation Rd. just south of Campbellville. Turn right on Conservation Rd. and drive to the toll gate at the end. A Halton Conservation Authority fee will apply. If you need more specific directions, e-mail me at the address given below.
Pace: Medium, 3-4 km per hr. with occasional pauses for rest, refreshment, and relief.
Terrain: Varies between easy and rough, some of it hilly and rocky, some on groomed trail, and some on boardwalk.
Hike Description: This loop hike offers panoramic views of woods and distant fields, a beautiful lake, geological and botanical mysteries, and a reconstructed indigenous village.It has it all ... except MacDonald's.
Requirements: The group will be limited to the first 20 hikers who register online. Wear boots and clothing suitable for the weather. Bring water and a snack.
Post-Hike Social: An optional pub lunch and/or liquid refreshment will follow.
